We are going to be trying a new feature here at FTLT. Each and every Friday, bank holidays excluded, we are going to take some of our favorite links from the past week and give you the opportunity to see what we are reading. Hopefully this will keep you coming back to our site on Friday and Saturday nights while Talkin_Proud and I are out drinking until I come back with my hungover Sunday night post.
Some of them will be Buffalo related, some of them won’t. The only constant is they should be entertaining. In the future I may include funny photos as well.
-It looks like Bill Simmons will be taking the summer off. I hope that I didn’t hurt his feelings too badly.
-Goose’s Roost has been having a Most Insignificant Sabre of the last decade discussion over at their site. This guy has got to be the early favorite.
-I would hate to be a stray cow in Lewiston late at night.
-In the event that you have not purchased the digital copy of the new hold steady album yet, the compact disc comes out on Tuesday. You should get it.
-It would be nice if the Dukes of Awesome updated a little bit more. I mean there are like 10 authors over on that site, but hey, when they do update they are indeed, awesome.
-If you don’t read Joe Posnanski yet, start now.
-Just for the record, the Sabres have not signed Mike Ryan yet.
- Does this matter to us at all?
-Just in case you haven’t been here yet.
-The Willful Caboose is wondering if we should start panicking about Ryan Miller.
-And that is an awful logo.
- This is one of my first stops every morning.
-We finally have someone younger than us on the block another older brother that we did not know about!
-This is well written and makes me think about W.P Kinsella. That is a winning combo in my book.
-Shots of the Crossbar think Brian Campbell may have a career in stand up after his NHL career is over
-Even if we think that he is wrong, it was totally awesome to have the Puck Daddy blog on Yahoo! Sports acknowledge us.
We hope that everyone has a great, drunken weekend. I am sure that we will see some of you (though we won’t realize it) at the Taste of Buffalo this weekend. I will be there Sunday enjoying about 20 wine slushies.
