The big wigs at Fredenburg’s Accounting LLC and Dulli and Sons Law Firm have really been piling the work on Talkin_Proud and myself as of late. Thankfully, Mr. Fredenburg understands that I will have many blogging obligations in the fall/winter so he piles the work on me during slow sports news cycles. You have to appreciate a boss like that. Let’s hope that Mr. Dulli and his sons are equally as fair with Talkin_Proud once the Bills and Sabres begin their seasons. At least they were nice enough to let us design a new header for the site this week.
With that said, not a whole lot going on this week. Bills training camp is going on, with or without Jason Peters, and that is about it. Yep. In the mean time, here is a batch of links to hold you over until the first Bills preseason game. I can’t wait for things to start happening, otherwise I might become the M.J. to J.P. Losman’s Michael Ryan.
- Goose’s Roost starts a new part of their “Insignificant” series.
- I went to Seneca Niagara for the first time this week, I played blackjack for about an hour and only lost five bucks. Sadly, I was not playing next to this guy.
- Blue Jays catcher Gregg Zaun has a website and you had better bet that it is pretty extreme.
- Have you ever wanted to watch a space station fly over your house? Here’s your chance!
- Shots Of The Crossbar chimed on Bucky’s article about Craig Rivet. Of course Bucky is going to be the one to write an article about a guy not wanting to be in Buffalo.
- Quaterback/Punter/Running Back/Blogger? Yep, Brian Moorman is blogging.

- A week couldn’t go by without me linking to Joe Posnanski. In this post he talks a little bit about strat-o-matic. I don’t know how many of you fellow bloggers out there play but there is an online game from the Sporting News that I play. I just finished a league and am looking to start a new one. Is anyone interested? I know Heather at Top Shelf is Pirates fan. I found out today that Kevin at Bfloblog is a Dodgers fan. Who wants to do this?
- The Dukes of Awesome may want to pursue a career in fiction writing.
- Terry Ryan, former GM and current special adviser to the Minnesota Twins, writes a great piece on what it is like to be a MLB GM leading up to the trade deadline.
- The Dugout had a pretty big week. pr0ff3ss0r_F4rnsw0rth & MannyTheTorpedoes got traded. The idea of Manny as Hollywood Hogan cracks me up so hard.
We will see you next week or maybe we will stop by this weekend. Okay, probably Monday, baring a terrible article in Sunday’s Buffalo News by Bucky, which, as we all know, will totally happen.
