Friday Links!

Well this week has been pretty awesome, huh? The Bills handily defeated the Seahawks, My boss and my father both realized that I blog about Buffalo sports thanks to Buffalo.com. Strangely enough, their reactions were totally different. My father, with his limited knowledge of the blogesphere, was excited by the prospective of me becoming a National sports writer that would bring Buffalo pride. My boss, Mr. Fredenburg, on the other hand said something along the lines of “You had better not be doing that shit at work”.

Needless to say, I have begun writing at home, which is difficult with editing being more difficult when you are drinking and all.

Any who, make sure to check out Marissa (a.k.a. Pink Jerseys Suck) from the Dukes of Awesome live blogging this weekend’s Bills game for Buffalo.com. We once almost met PJS but instead of showing up on time, she was like 2 hours late for the Sabres’ Draft Party. So instead of making new friends, Talkin_Proud and I ended up slamming a ton of $2 beers while PJS and her co-writers at talleywackers distracted Nick Mendola from doing his job.

• I knew it was just a matter of time, but some video has finally surfaced from when I backpacked Europe. Hey! Who could blame me, right?
• Security Level has been increased to code yellow. It is imperative that the recipe remains secret!
• “Sorry Nikki. Human Nature- Nothing I can do. It’s Schadenfredue, Making me feel glad that I’m not you.” Mock me all you want for quoting Avenue Q but there is no better word to describe what happened to Tom Brady.
• The Bills Rap this week was waaaay better. Will James IS lame.
• In case you we haven’t mentioned it before, Joe Ponanski is the best.
• Do you hate the idea of the Bills playing in Toronto? How about those annoying kids from the Rodgers wireless ads? Then this is for you.
• Oh man, Super Lice? What’s next, Super Crabs? Super Bed Bugs? I am not excited by impending “Super Bug” crisis.
• At one point, this news would have upset me more than it does now. Thanfully, I already have these.
• This is one heck of a long piece on Alec Baldwin. The truth is, I haven’t read it yet. I do plan on it, but gees, it is like 8,300 words. Maybe I will read it while nursing a hang over tomorrow.
• Speaking of nursing a hang over tomorrow, the reason I will be doing that is because I am going to be heading down to the Mohawk Place tonight. The reason being, local band Bear Hunter, is having their cd release party. The Official Local Band of FTLT, Johnny Nobody, will also be playing there tonight. Show starts at 10pm, the OV’s are $2 and a good time is assured. As always, we will be up front, double fisting beers and playing air guitar.
