Sure, most blogs, outside of firejoemorgan, like to have people comment on their work. It shows that people not only are reading but it shows that something your wrote made someone feel as strongly as you did when you wrote your post. All and all it is a pretty rewarding system. Write something worth reading it and people will have something to say about it. Makes sense, right?
Well, after reading some comments on Sully’s latest post on SabresEdge I am pretty happy that no one is reading FTLT. Or, to be more specific, I am happy these people aren’t reading FTLT.

The Sabres’ dirty little secret is, their goaltending is average at best. Miller lets in too many softies, I have said it for 3 years and seen nothing to convince me otherwise. As for Spacek, their defense was nothing special with him, so screw it, bring in someone else or save some money. Doesn’t matter much because this team has bigger problems beyond one slot on D.

They need to fashion a roster that can win right now. We are approaching July 1, 2009, the 2-year anniversary of the Drury-Briere departures. This current group has not been nearly as good since that day. Since that day, this organization has felt what they have left is good enough. And it has not. As for the draft, I cannot get excited about players I have not seen play a minute of hockey. I don’t know these guys from a hole in the wall. Maybe Kassian can be of help in a couple of years. I don’t care about a couple of years from now. The Sabres shouldn’t either.

Darcy Regier = Yes Man – You can see why he has not been fired.Larry Quinn = Know it all – Pampas, arrogant guy who has no business running a team much less developing the Bass Pro space.
Tom Golisano = Absent – Bought the team as a toy, now sees it as a nuisance.

Oh no…. you didn’t have to go after Tiny Tim did ya! Spacek has his value but if he wants 3 mil i say by bye. Plus i’m more excited about seeing all the kids on the blueline…Sekera, Butler, Weber and Myers….although i’m not too excited for all the mistakes that surely will happen often next season.

They don’t just want but need to make the playoffs every single year and their profits are almost directly dependent upon them doing so. Ticket sales are important but qualifying and going far in the playoffs isn’t just a standard response given to the media by Regier and Quinn but it is the policy set in order to keep the franchise profitable.

Mike, not that I want to get to personal on Sully but have you ever seen his ex-wife?
I don’t know why they’re not together any more, but anything is an upgrade.
